The Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Michael Goldberg and Dan Herbst College Scholarships. Congratulations to Karter Peereboom of Shohola, PA, who played for Eastern Pike Soccer Club, and Brandon Castorina of Wappinger’s Falls, NY who played for Wappinger United Soccer Club. They are both winners of the $1,000 Michael Goldberg College Scholarship Award. Karter is attending Penn State University and Brandon is at Herkimer County Community College. Congratulations are also in order for Riley Burdick of New Paltz, who played for New Paltz Travel Soccer Club and is attending Providence College, Nicolas Giorgi of Poughkeepsie who played for the LaGrange Soccer Club and is attending Salve Regina University and Garrett Peterson of Hopewell Junction, who played for the East Fishkill Soccer Club and is attending Binghamton University. These three are this year’s winners of the $500 Dan Herbst award.
